Stupid Sins & Clean Slates

This is from my reading this morning:

Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh! Keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take over your work; Then I can start this day sun-washed, scrubbed clean of the grime of sin. These are the words in my mouth; these are what I chew on and pray. Accept them when I place them on the morning altar, O God, my Altar-Rock, God, Priest-of-My-Altar.
(Psalm 19:13,14 MSG)

I needed to hear this.

I needed to hear that my “stupid sins” could be forgiven.

I needed to hear that my slate could be wiped clean in the eyes of God.

I needed to hear that God is for me.

I make a lot of mistakes. But I am daily reminded that God will not give up on me. And He won’t give up on you.

What do you need to be reminded of today?
