Long before I knew the Monkees as a musical group, I knew them as the Monkees that had a show on Nick at Night.
Davy Jones was the ladies man of the group and they made sure they went crazy for him every episode. I would have loved to have hair like that.
Davy Jones and the Monkees left their mark on the world. Especially with his hit song “Daydream Believer.” A song about expecting big things in life, but at the same time not needing a whole lot to be happy. You can’t hear that song and not feel happy.
Davy was part of a group that wanted to bring a smile to the world through their music and comedy. They had a goal and a mission. They were willing to do whatever it took to leave their mark.
