Stay Behind Me

I take my son to a play place.

My son is getting older & more daring. It is fun to watch.

But there are some things he still seems nervous about. Things that he is still not quite sure he can do.

So, he makes sure I go with him. “Daddy, stay behind me!”

He wants me to experience it with him. Because with me all things are possible; all things are worth trying.

I think this is a lot like our relationship with God. Somethings we haven’t quite grown into. Somethings we don’t feel we are ready for.

But if we feel God’s presence all things are possible. All things are worth trying.

God, stay behind me!
