Why Run When You Can Fly

True story, Jennifer and I were driving down the road and there were a few birds in our way.

Now, most of you know I don’t care for birds. Hitting them was not going to put any guilt in my conscience.

But the funniest thing happened. Instead of flying away as the car got closer, they attempted to out run it.

They managed to get to the side before my car plowed into them (again, no guilt here!).

Jennifer started laughing and said, “why do they run when they can fly?”

Wow! I mean wow!

She just summed up our lives in Christ, without even knowing it.

In Christ, we have been given greatness, hope, peace, love, power, eternity.

In Christ, we have been given wings (like spiritual Red Bull).

And yet, we still try to run when we can fly.

Why is that? Do we not trust? Do we not believe? Do we not see?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to run when I can fly!

How about you?
