I can’t believe it’s been a year.

I don’t know if I ever told you how much you meant to me.

I hope you knew.

You were a rock, a man of conviction and purpose. And yet you were so gentle and humble.

You took me into your family and treated me like one of your own.

You were a protector and a provider.

I miss you!

I miss our talks!

I miss your laugh (you know that one where you turn bright red & can’t breath).

I miss the way you were with Jennifer. You made her feel safe.

I miss how you were with your grandkids and how they loved “tickles”.

You showed me how to be a husband, father & friend.

I want you to know that I will try to continue your legacy.

I will continue to miss you, but I know I will see you again.
