I just read an article that says by the time a child reaches 11 years of age majority will have already been introduced to pornography in some way or another.
Does this make anyone else sick? Angry? Confused? Scared?
I have a 7 year old daughter and according to the latest statistics I should be having “The Talk” with her soon.
But that is not a weight I want on her shoulders. It is not a burden I want her to bare. But I also want her to be ready & understand.
Anyone had to deal with this?

This frustrates me beyond words…but I’ll write some anyway. I hate that the world is trying to determine when it is best for us to discuss these personal conversations. I have a degree in Elementary Education and I don’t think a seven year old has the maturity needed to digest this type of material. We should not have to be in a race with a secular society to teach our kids the right things. Our kids are ours…not society’s!
