Many years ago we were sitting at the dining table of some veteran missionaries as they told us stories of their days in Australia.
They told how they had to bring the table back from Australia because of all the memories they had with people around the table. The table represented conversations.
We didn’t fully understand that concept until now. You see we have a table that we cannot get rid of because of all the memories that surround it.
All the tears that have been shed and the laughs that have been.
All the joys of sharing Jesus and all the hours counseling.
This table talks!
Life is about making memories, whether it is around a dining table or somewhere else.
With all the conversations that happen around a table, do you ever wonder what a dining table would say if it could talk?
and isn’t this what “the Lord’s table” is meant to be? A time of sharing that binds us in something deeper than friendship with our family?
