I would like to start this conversation off by quoting from famous theologian and poet, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith:
“There’s somethin’ wrong with the world today I don’t know what it is, something’s wrong with our eyes. We’re seeing things in a different way and God knows it ain’t His, it sure ain’t no surprise. We’re livin’ on the edge…”
Our world has been changing from the day Adam and Eve left the garden. It has been going down a downward spiral away from God and into a world where “we” rule. But the story didn’t end there and the story hasn’t ended. Through Jesus Christ we have been given a second chance. A chance to change ourselves and a chance to change the world. But the question is “will we”?
This blog is a discussion, a group discussion. It is a chance for us to voice our opinions about the world and discuss ways in which we can actively live out the life of Jesus, and change the direction of this world back towards God. I believe it can be done. I believe that, if we will work together, we can make a difference. We can turn this world upside down.
What would this world look like if we stopped living for ourselves and started living for God and for others? What would this world look like if we were freed of ourselves and the lies that we have lived?
What would this world look like if we truly were Christ-Followers?
What would this world look like if we were “Unleashed”?
