Thin Places

In his book “A Traveler’s Guide To The Kingdom,” James Emery White talks about this idea of thin places.

Deeply rooted within Celtic spirituality are what are known as “thin places.” The Celts believed that the other (spiritual) world was always close to us, but it was at these places that the veil between the two worlds – the material and the spiritual – was lifted.

This concept has got me thinking. As Christians, what if we are to be those thin places?

What if we are to be that place that when people come near us they feel closer to another world?

A spiritual world in which God reigns and is on mission setting the world right once again.

What would our life look like if we were purposely trying to be those thin places?

What differences would we see?

Have you experienced thin places?
