I’m sure most of you heard recently about the endangerment of Hostess Twinkies.
We are in peril times my friends. The disappearance of Twinkies would probably be the last sign before a zombie apocalypse. Just saying!
Upon hearing the news I felt like Tallahassee from Zombieland, where he searched the whole movie for one Twinkie.
The brilliance and somewhat scary truth about twinkies, they pretty much last forever.
There is something scary about something that can’t be killed, no real expiration date. Plus do we really know what a twinkie really is?
It got me thinking about Jesus and the life I live in him.
I wonder if that is why so many people fear him; because he is eternal?
I wonder if people shy away from him because he offers life with no expiration date?
I wonder if people have a hard time accepting Jesus because of all the unknowns that come along with him?
But that is why I am so amazed with Jesus. That is why I gave my life to him.
There are so many unknowns, but in that journey lies so many good things.
Daily I am learning more and more about Jesus that gives me courage and hope.
Sure there are fears along the way, but we all fear what we don’t fully understand.
Maybe Jesus is not to be fully understood right now, but rather what we do understand about him is to be fully lived out.
In the end Jesus will remain, and those that chose his life will remain with him.
In the end, the unknown will become known and we will be with Jesus.
Maybe we will even share a twinkie!
